Google is launching this Circle to Search feature globally on select premium Android smart phones on Jan 31, 2024
The internet is all about search & exploration, and that too with Google Search. The Alphabet Inc. company with use of  Artificial Intelligence is now enabling users to engage with search functionalities in a more meaningful way. 
Google on Wednesday introduced two new features for millions of users worldwide. With the help of  AI, Google has developed new ways with two new features i.e. Circle to Search and AI-powered overviews for multi-search in Lens. 

Circle to Search: New way to use the Internet

This feature lets you search for anything on your Android phone screen without having to switch applications. All it takes is a simple gesture – Simply long press the home button or navigation bar on your Android device to activate the Circle to Search. Select the item with your preferred gesture, like a pair of shoes, to quickly find similar options that you can shop from retailers across the web. Once done, you can simply swipe back to where you started. 

According to Google, with its AI-powered upgrades and multisearch, the ability to search with text and images at the same time, users can easily understand concepts, ideas, or topics from helpful information that’s pulled from across the web. The feature is coming to select premium Android devices such as the Pixel 8, the new Samsung galaxy S24 Series. 

AI-powered overviews for multi-search in Lens

Users can simply point their camera and whatever they see or upload a picture or screenshot and ask a question about it. This will yield instant insights powered by generative AI. This feature is currently launching in the US.Those outside the US will be required to access AI-powered overviews on multisearch results within Circle to Search
